Vehicle Description
Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 Veloce Left Hand Drive – 1974 Series 2 Kamm tail
The Alfa Romeo Spider (105/115 series) is a roadster produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 1966 to 1993. The successor to the Giulia Spider, it remained in production for almost three decades with only minor aesthetic and mechanical changes. The first three series were assembled by Pininfarina in Grugliasco, Italy. The original 1966 Spider shape was the result of a number of Pininfarina design studies. The Series 1 was known as the Duetto or Boat tail owing to its rounded tail. In 1970 the rear end was redesigned to a more conventional cut-off tail to give more luggage space and known as the Kamm tail.
Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo Automobilismo Storico confirm that this car was manufactured on 8th July 1974 and supplied to Alfa Romeo USA , Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. The car was then imported from California in 1990. The car has we believe had 4 previous owners since 1990 with the 3rd owner (12 years) storing the car from 2004 to 2013. There are 6 historic MOT certificates covering the period June 8 1996 (17,404 miles) to August 12 2003 at 30,102 miles all in the Bedford area of England. The car currently reads 30,200 miles. Alfa Romeo historic collection in Milan have also confirmed the vehicle chassis and engine numbers.
